OWERRI: APC Deputy Guber Candidate inaugurates “Ekomaru Vanguards of Hope”

The “Ekomaru Vanguards of Hope”, has been inaugurated with a charge to take election campaigns to the grassroots and ensure that the ruling All Progressives Congress party – APC, wins the November 11 Governorship election in the state.

The Deputy Governorship candidate of the party, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru, performed the inauguration at the APC Campaign Council Headquarters in Owerri, Imo State.

Lady Chinyere applauded the leaders of the group for mobilizing their members to the ceremony and challenged them to deliver their booths in the forthcoming governorship election.

She promised to carry them along in the scheme of things after the election and assured Imo women of life-changing empowerment in various skills including training in agriculture, as well as helping them to maximize their potential.

The APC Deputy Governorship candidate maintained that Governor Hope Uzodimma had done a lot in four years to earn him a second tenure.

The State Coordinator, Ekomaru Vanguards of Hope, Mr Charles Uzopuo, promised that the group would galvanize support and mobilize votes for the re-election of Governor Uzodimma in view of his notable achievements in road infrastructure, health care, agriculture, youth empowerment and education among others.

Also, a 2019 APC governorship aspirant, Chief Chris Nlemoha, stated that he stepped down for Governor Hope Uzodimma during the 2019 APC primaries because of the governor’s good intentions for Imo people, and has now collapsed his structure into Ekomaru Vanguards of Hope to ensure the victory of APC in the forthcoming election.

The high point of the occasion was the decoration of Lady Chinyere Ekomaru by the state woman leader of the group, Mrs Azuike Ijeoma, flanked by other women co-ordinators.

Ekomaru Vanguards of Hope is a statewide political support structure with a membership that spans across members and non-members of APC who are sympathetic and committed to the course of delivering the Uzodimma/Ekomaru ticket in the November 11 Governorship election.
