Uzodimma’s Reelection Rally Shuts Down Owerri As Women Rally for HOPE

In a spectacular show of support, Imo State witnessed a momentous campaign rally as women from all walks of life gathered in Owerri to endorse the reelection bid of Governor Hope Uzodimma. 

The event, which was held at the Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu Square, New Owerri, brought the city to a standstill, drawing key figures including APC Governors’ wives, the Senate President’s wife, and the Chief of Staff to the President.

Wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, took the stage, assuring Imo State women that reelecting Governor Uzodimma is the key to limitless possibilities. 

Also emphasizing the President’s commitment to making the South East the industrial hub of Nigeria, she declared that the reelection is “ordained by God” and will usher in renewed hope and sustained progress.

Known for her dedication to women’s empowerment, Mrs Tinubu encouraged the women to use their votes wisely on November 11, 2023, highlighting Governor Uzodimma’s responsiveness and the groundbreaking choice of a female Deputy Governor, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru.

In his address, Governor Uzodimma expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and vowed to justify the confidence placed in him. 

In her affirmation of the Governor’s fulfilment of campaign pledges, Imo’s First Lady, Barrister Mrs Chioma Uzodimma, cited achievements in infrastructure, job creation, education, healthcare, and empowerment programmes.

Key APC leaders, including the National Woman Leader and wives of Governors, delivered messages of support, commending the women for their commitment. 

The rallying cry was clear: “Say yes to Governor Uzodimma’s reelection, and let’s do the needful on November 11, 2023.”

Oguwike Nwachuku, Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser to the Governor, captured the fervour of the occasion, marking it as a crucial moment in Imo’s political landscape.
