Imo Guber: Deputy Governor-elect, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru thanks Mbaitoli people

The deputy governor-elect, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru, has thanked the people of Mbaitoli Local Government Area for voting for the All Progressives Congress party in the just concluded Imo State governorship election.

She expressed her feelings at a Thank You party held in her country home, Umunoha.

An excited Lady Chinyere appreciated God and the people of Mbaitoli Local government area for their overwhelming support during the election.

Lady Chinyere said that Governor Hope Uzodimma’s giant developmental strides in the state earned the All Progressives Congress party a landslide victory in the election.

She lauded the Governor for his outstanding leadership performance and gender-friendly disposition which resulted in her choice as his deputy and promised the people of Mbaitoli local government area that their concerns would surely motivate her to remain humble.

The Deputy Governor-elect restated her commitment to discharging her duties creditably and promised to use her position to advance the cause of women and the needy in society.

A former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in the state and indigene of Mbaitoli, Chief Marcellinus Nlemigbo, advised the Deputy-Governor elect to remain committed to aligning with the Governor’s policies and programmes of improving the lot of Imo people.

Another prominent indigene of the area, Chief Godwin Irofuala expressed confidence that Lady Chinyere would deliver her mandate without blemish.

The Special Adviser on Community Matters, Lady Ngozi Ukaegbu prayed to God to help the Governor and his deputy fulfill their campaign promises.

The Director General Imo Broadcasting Corporation, Ify Onyegbule, who was in company with her management team, lauded the choice of Lady Chinyere Ekomaru and encouraged her to use her position to move Imo forward.

The ceremony witnessed a large turnout of Stakeholders, youths, women and support groups in Mbaitoli.
