Scholarships for Imo Students: DG IBC, Ify Onyegbule commends NAISS leadership 

The leadership of the National Association of Imo State Students (NAISS) has been commended on the forthcoming ‘Worship and Prayer Conference’, a program that will be used to give scholarships to some students of Imo origin. 

The Director General of Imo Broadcasting Corporation, Ify Onyegbule gave the commendation when the National President, Metu Franklyn led some officers of the association on a courtesy visit to her office. 

The IBC DG said the program which will be used to share food items and pay school fees of some students of Imo origin was an interesting one and well thought-out. 

She assured of the Corporation’s support in terms of publicity to help the students succeed in their program. 

The Director General emphasized that life after school requires a more practical approach and encouraged the students to set goals and build a career for themselves. 

Earlier, the National President of NAISS, Metu Franklyn, had informed the Director General that they came to inform her about their programme which was borne out of the desire to impact on students of Imo state origin. 

The NAISS president, who came in company with the National Secretary General – Michael Onyenucheya and the Director of Sports – Lucius Okereke also solicited coverage during the programme. 

NAISS is the umbrella body of Imo State students in all the Higher Institutions in Nigeria that cater to the welfare of members.
